Lions Club Of Segamat
Brief History
The Lions club of Segamat was Chartered on the 16th. May 1968,sponsored by the Lions Club Of Muar. Since its inception, it had sponsored six Lions Clubs,Lions Club Of Labis,Bahau,Kuala Pilah.Jementah,Segamat Puteri,Segamat New Century;a Lioness Club and five (5) Leos Clubs ;Sekolah Tinggi Segamat,Sek. Men. Conossian Convent, Sek. Men. Keb. Jementah, Sek.Men.Keb. Seg Hwa and Sek. Men. Keb. Paduka Tuan. We got three sister clubs;Lions Club Of Singapore Tanglin,Lions Club Of Chen Kung Taoyuan-Taiwan and Lions Club Of Malacca.
Over the years,our club had been recognized and presented with many awards, many of our Past President had serve as Zone , Region , And Dsistrict Chairperson and bless with two Past District Governors.
Other than the guideline Lion Projects like Blood Donation, Peace Poster Contest,Health Talks, Eyesight Screening, Lions with PDRM and Fund Raising,our club had build many Bus Shelter for the public. Environmental Jogathan,Youth Camp,Fustal,Karaoke Competition, Singboard for Railway Station and recently 40 marble benches for public contributed by Past Presidents and Lions were the highlights of our club.
We had to thank our two PDG and senior Lions for having the foresight to encourage people of different background to joint our Club. These new members had come of age, they are always thinking of new project and activities for the community never forgetting the Lions Motto ” We Serve”
